Calling all angels, to the shadow world war
light up the darkness, our backs against the wall
its time for confession, measure out the toll
the karmic scales of justice are keepers of the soul

electric buzz and ozone sparks
shatter-head pod-boy skater-parks
the splish and splatter, colours in a can
all the pretty boys go runnin from the man

the bottle does a ting, a huff from the bag
a puff in the alleyway suits the old hag
the corner boys are hustling working out a deal
business is rip-off and always cops a feel

up pop the billy boys, bang through the club
payoff time from managers which one here’s the thug
the pot-bellied mayor, the old boys gang
innocence the victim for someone must hang

politicians, crack whores, party in the night
too rich, no jail, naked in the light
the pull from the puppeteer, we do the poor man’s jig
the learned counsel does a line, the judge enjoys a swig

sizzle in a copper pan, bacon in a pen
misery in money meat, supports the futures men
slaughtered, butchered, bled and bound, our death is now on sale
the legacy of barbary truly has no scale

The Karmic scales of justice………2/2

the pitter, the patter, the gutter full of rain
the fluffing of the pillow, the sweet release from pain
the strident bells, the urgent calls, the squeak of nurses heels
it’s the end of the line, the end of time, and the devil’s in the deals

angels not innocence protects the wayward child
debts and sins and faults not theirs, angered hurt and wild
the burdens of a battered youth, indentured at its birth
slaved to its meagre existence , the needle knows its worth

dungeons and dragons, the hell-house of man
frakken me oily and fill me with spam
through me in prison slopped from a pail
drink from a cess-pool for the world is for sale

calling all angels, to the shadow world war
light up the darkness, our backs against the wall
time for confession, measure out the toll
the karmic scales of justice, are keepers of our soul
